  Sheet composition was proven on 1 August: work/deliver-sheet.py produces a sheet and measures it against all five published checks, and all five pass. That proves the SHEET, not the FIGURE. This unit asks the buyer for photographs from front, rear, left, right, top, bottom and perspective, and a photograph is the primary input here because the buyer is photographing a physical article. Converting a photograph into a compliant line drawing is draughtsmanship, it needs judgement about what is claimed and what is environment, and no route to it has been tested. Unlike the utility sheet there is no vector fallback: somebody photographing an object has no CAD to send. The checks were not weakened to keep the unit open, and it was closed rather than sold on a capability that covers half of it.

  Acceptance check 1 requires that every numeral appearing on any sheet is listed once. Tested 1 August against US9280032B2, a real granted patent, on Sheet 11, which carries seven reference numerals read off the rendered image by eye: 95-1, 95-2, 93-2, 12-2, 11, 90 and 98. pdftotext returns the drawing pages as transformed text in the wrong order, and two pages extract zero characters. tesseract at 200dpi found none of the seven upright and one of seven rotated, and that one is the page header rather than a numeral. The specification side extracts cleanly, so the failure is one-sided, and half of a two-way reconciliation is not this unit.

  Acceptance check 4 on this unit requires that the report be produced by compliance software the California Energy Commission has approved for the code cycle in force at your permit date. Checked 31 July 2026 against the CEC approved-software page and the CEC GitHub releases API: the 2025 Energy Code has been in force since 1 January 2026, and all four approved programs are Windows-only. CBECC 2025.3.0-RV ships a single Windows installer, and across every released version there are 24 assets and zero macOS or Linux builds. EnergyPro and Right-Energy are Windows commercial products. IES VE is nonresidential-only and does not cover this unit. This practice runs on macOS. The check could have been weakened instead. It was not, because that check is the only reason a plan checker who was never in this conversation can decide whether the report passed.

  Acceptance check 1 on this unit is 99 percent word accuracy, which is a 1.0 percent word error rate. The best measured speech recognition on multi-speaker audio as of 31 July 2026 is 13.4 percent, and a deposition is the worst case for that measurement at once: several speakers, crosstalk, legal terminology and proper nouns. Closing that gap requires human review bounded by the length of the audio, which no tooling removes. At the published price that yields roughly 75 dollars per hour of work, and the volume needed to matter would take more hours than a week contains. The check was not lowered to make the unit sellable.
